THINGS TO CONSIDER
† Muse/PBs of any background are welcome; for OCs, PBs are not required. Celebrities are preferred, although this may depend on what you think qualifies as celebrity-status - exercise caution if you're considering people from facebook or blogs.
† You can apply for any story-incorporated characters as long as you're okay with continuing to carry the baggage they bring (ie Red Ruby, Meat Cleaver, etc) & this is not gender-restricted despite what game-knowledge says. Changes to their storyline & etc must be cleared.
† Your character may be added to the "INFORMATION" post if they end up becoming central to gameplay.
† Do you believe everything you see/hear on the news?
RE: TIME & TRAVEL
⊿ The year is 3071.
⊿ Nobody dares to go outside their city's walls without suit and mask in fear of lingering radiation. Even gypsies wear masks, though not all, supporting their image of an already infected people.
⊿ Generally speaking, the rich own cars, but there is reliable public transport inside of the city. Bikes and motorcycles are cheaper, although the latter requires some hard-searching for parts if you're going to build your own.
⊿ Air filtration systems line the cities like veins on the human body; in the case of cities like Philo, they create their own oxygen through a great over-abundance of plant life.
⊿ Comms towers exist, but occasionally require maintenance. Satellites of any ownership or lack thereof floating in space can be commandeered with the right technology and processes.
⊿ Communications technology: mobile phones, implanted chips, radios, anything that existed before the war & anything you can build or rebuild.
⊿ Medical technology: mechanised prosthetics/cybernetics and man-made organs are possible, but expensive - there is also a black market for this if you can't afford the proper procedure.
RE: NEW VEGAS
⊿ Gambling is regulated and restricted to certain districts.
⊿ All roads lead to Starlight. Main cities/towns in the republic include:
・ Starlight City: known for its military safety, advanced medicine, government headquarters, and commerce
・ Philo: known for its fresh & fragrant air, cleanest water, botany and biochemical advancements - the green city; second largest population after Starlight
・ Black Rock Desert: two main areas, used mainly for manufacturing resources and other industrial activity
- Devil's Den: mining town, population 50,000
- Massacre Lake: known for two contradictory things... keeping animals for slaughter/dairy/textiles & military weapons testing
RE: STARLIGHT CITY
⊿ A citadel stands pinnacle and can be seen from anywhere in the city if you're looking in the right direction.
RE: INFECTED
⊿ Gypsies aren't the only ones who can be coyotes/clocks/dusters/etc.
⊿ Infected doesn't always mean superhuman capabilities; some just suffer the radiation with no extra effects.
⊿ You can get in trouble for not reporting infection, as it's required by law, but no one says you have to. Live your vida loca (but you'll probably die).
⊿ Nobody can stop you from playing your infected like a flesh-rotten flesh-eating ghoul a la Fallout or even X-Men. But it's preferable that you do so with some class... First Class...

⊿ "Gypsy" is not the official term, but it's widely known/used.
⊿ Not all gypsies are infected, but this is what everyone within city walls have been raised to believe.
⊿ Just because they don't have government-issued SSNs does not mean laws and patrols can keep them out of the city - and just because they have government-issued SSNs doesn't mean they can't decide to leave behind their city-dwelling lives...
